Presentations for Parents and Families

Common Sense offers slide presentations to use at school-hosted events for parents and families. The slide shows are designed to be presented by a school staff member or parent liaison. These topic-focused ready-made presentations dig into the most pressing parent concerns related to kids' digital lives. Families will get the latest research, expert advice, tips, and recommendations to help them face these challenges with confidence. i- Ready directions From a computer

1) Log into;

2) Enter username and password;

3) Choose Arkansas;

4) Students are expected to complete 45 minutes for Math and 45 minutes for Reading each day From an ipad:

1) Download the free i-Ready for Students from the App Store. iPad must be compatible with iOS 11 or above, such as iPad Air, iPad Air 2, or iPad Pro.;

2) Continue with steps from above (Parents: You can monitor the amount of time your child has been in i-Ready by going to the bottom of your child's page and click on MY PROGRESS. You will be able to see the amount of minutes and lessons passed within the MY PROGRESS page. )

Learn more about getting set up for i-Ready, learn how to support your child while working through i-Ready lessons, and learn how to discuss data with your child.  

i-Ready recommends that parents run the following system check on their computer to ensure computers can run the program:

i-Ready is accessible on an iPad.  Students will need the i-Ready for Students iPad app to access all i-Ready assessment and instruction on an iPad.  The iPad app is free and available for download through the Apple App Store here.  Students must use i-Ready on iPads that are compatible with iOS 11 or above, such as the iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, or any other device that meets the requirements in the table below.   Note that iPad minis are not supported and that the i-Ready app is not accessible on other tablets nor the iPhone.

The Woodlawn Public School district, in collaboration with parents, established a parental involvement plan that establishes the district’s expectations for parental involvement,
and includes programs and practices that enhance parental involvement and reflect the specific needs of students and families.

The Woodlawn School District is excited to share above our Parent Engagement summary of the engagement plan.  Ark. Code Ann. § 6-15-1704(a); Rules Section 3.02

Woodlawn School District – Parent Facilitators 


Each campus of the Woodlawn School District has a lead employee who acts as a parent facilitator.  

The facilitator works collaboratively with the school administration to support

parental engagement efforts during important programs and events.
