Woodlawn School District is committed to providing a quality education to all students. District staff believe that all students can learn and be successful in school and in life. Students sometimes may need additional time, specific teaching techniques or methods, a variety of programs, care at school and at home, and more. The district recognizes the importance of personalized, engaging, and essential educational programs that ensure that all children with disabilities receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Woodlawn School District has a small staff but expands outreach of support through all trained educators and staff who understand the difficulties students encounter and are ready to implement individualized plans to help students achieve excellence both academically and in life. Woodlawn School District offers a variety of services including but not limited to: speech/language therapy, special instruction, occupational therapy, and provide services in the least restrictive environment in order to ensure all students with disabilities are provided a free public education.
