It is with the heaviest of hearts that I even compose this letter. The past two weeks have been difficult times for all of us. With the outbreak of COVID-19, the administration of the Woodlawn School District has had to make some very tough decisions concerning upcoming events and the health and safety of our community, students and faculty, which is always our number one priority. With all these things in mind, it does not make the decisions any easier.
With all these things in mind and the reccomendations made I have decided to cancel all pring concerts for the Woodlawn School District. This will include the 1st-3rd Grade concert, the 4th-6th Grade Concert, and my Junior and Senior High combined concert. Kindergarten Graduation will be decided at a later date when I can speak with the other teachers involved. This year the students have grown leaps and bounds in their music educaiton and I am proud to be their teacher. We have seen growth in both the Senior High and Junior High Choirs and we hope for those numbers to grow even more. I will tenatively schedule a makeup concert for the fall using the songs that we have worked on this semester. It would be a waste not to let the kids perform the songs they have worked so hard on.

Senior High, Junior High and Senior Instrumental concert December the 5th at 6:00 pm in the cafetorium
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Concert is on December the 9th at 2:00pm in the cafetorium. They will all need to wear Black Bottoms and White Tops and their best smile.
4th Grade will be singing Do You Want to Build a Snowman and Spirit of the Season.
5th Grade will be singing I Love the Snow and The Christmas Song (Chestnuts).
6th Grade will be singing Rock the Hall and Feliz Navidad.
